There is an endless supply of wonderful places to eat out there and with a little bit of research, you can build up a good list of restaurants and cafes that are happy to cater for your requirements.

Take some time to sit down and ring around all your favourite places and let them know you enjoy dining with them and would like to continue to do so if they can cater for you.

Some suggestions for discussion might be:

  • Can they separate dressings/sauces from the dish?
  • What oil do they cook in and do they have another option?
  • If you phone ahead with ingredients, can they create a dish for you?
  • Can you order a few sides and have it as your main dish?

If you are seeing a dietitian, get talking with them. They have devoted their career to food so make use of their expertise.
